West Boca Medical Center Establishes New Delivery Program for Maternity Patients

Boca Raton, Fla. – West Boca Medical Center announces its Boca Center for Women’s Care, is now offering a laborist program. This program offers in-house physicians, who are specialized obstetricians and gynecologists. They are available 24/7 to care for all your maternity, labor and delivery needs.

“Having a baby is one of life’s happiest events and our new program provides an enhanced level of comfort and safety to our maternity patients,” said George Rizzuto, chief executive officer of West Boca Medical Center. “Quality and safety are our primary focus for all of our services, and our laborists have established protocols in place to support a family ready to deliver their baby, as well as handling any emergent needs.”

Laborists can admit patients, provide emergency services, manage labor, and deliver babies. Some of the services our laborists will provide include:

  • In-house OB/GYN support
  • Assist your OB during cesarean sections
  • Emergency intervention, e.g. precipitous delivery, fetal distress
  • Patient evaluation and consultation
  • Fetal monitor interpretation
  • Coordinate communication in urgent situations
  • Coverage for attending physicians as requested
