West Boca Medical Center Names New Director of NICU/PICU/Pediatrics

West Boca, Fla. (July 12, 2016) – West Boca Medical Center welcomes Barbara Bzura as director of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and pediatrics department.

In her new role at West Boca, Bzura will oversee Boca Raton’s only Level III NICU, which offers the most extensive medical services possible for premature and at-risk babies and has been granted the highest designation possible by the state of Florida. During her nine-year tenure as director of the NICU and maternal addiction program at another South Florida hospital, she served on several committees, including staffing, ethics, patient safety and infection control.

Bzura earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northern Michigan University in Marquette. She continued her education at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, where she earned her master’s in nursing and graduated with honors.
