Apr 25, 2016

Boca Raton, Fla. (April 25, 2016) – West Boca Medical Center is proud to be the only hospital in Boca Raton to receive an “A” Hospital Safety Score from The Leapfrog Group, a non-profit organization that provides patient safety information to consumers and consultation services for network inclusion to insurers and self-insured employers.

Bi-annually, The Leapfrog Group assigns “A,” “B,” “C,” “D” or “F” scores to U.S. hospitals based on their performance in keeping patients safe from preventable medical errors, injuries, accidents and infections. West Boca Medical Center’s “A” score is part of The Leapfrog Group’s spring 2016 report and can be found in the latest update to the Hospital Safety Score.

“We are pleased to achieve the highest rating for the ninth consecutive time since the inception of this designation four years ago,” said Mitch Feldman, CEO of West Boca Medical Center. “It demonstrates that our commitment to patient safety is continually making a difference.”

The Leapfrog Group evaluated and graded more than 2,500 hospitals nationwide. The Hospital Safety Score was compiled under the guidance of the nation’s leading experts in patient safety and is designed to provide the public information that can be used to protect themselves and their families.
