Tenet’s Palm Beach Health Network Hospitals Announce Changes to Visitation Policy

Palm Beach County, FL – With the recent decrease in COVID-19 cases, the Palm Beach Health Network, which includes Delray Medical Center, Good Samaritan Medical Center, Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, Palm Beach Children’s Hospital, St. Mary’s Medical Center, and West Boca Medical Center, announce the following changes to expand visitor access for our patients and their families starting on Monday February 28th;

  • One visitor for hospital inpatients, however restrictions may continue for certain areas, including intensive care and COVID units.
  • Two visitors will be allowed for our pediatric, L&D/OB mothers, and ICU patients
  • One visitor for patients undergoing a surgery or having a procedure.
  • One visitor for patients having an outpatient or therapy visit.
  • One visitor for all ER (emergency room) patients.

“We are pleased to be able to go back to allowing more visitors into our hospitals so patients can have added support from both family and friends,” said Maggie Gill, chief executive officer of the Palm Beach Health Network and Delray Medical Center.  “Our hospitals have done a tremendous job of creating a safe and secure environment to protect the patients who are treated and cared for each day. We look forward to allowing our community more access to their loved ones.”

Visitors will continue following certain hospital requirements, including:

  • All visitors must check-in at an entrance.
  • Visitors will be required to wear a face-mask at all times.
  • Visitors must remain in the patient room/area.
  • By entering any hospital, visitors are attesting to COVID-19 screening per CDC Guidelines.

Visitors may be denied access for the following:

  • Present with potential COVID-19 symptoms.
  • Have other risks as identified by CDC guidelines.
