Our efforts are ongoing. While we strive to have the website adhere to these guidelines and standards, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website. West Boca, Fla. (July 12, 2016) – West Boca Medical Center welcomes Barbara Bzura as director of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and pediatrics department.

In her new role at West Boca, Bzura will oversee Boca Raton’s only Level III NICU, which offers the most extensive medical services possible for premature and at-risk babies and has been granted the highest designation possible by the state of Florida. During her nine-year tenure as director of the NICU and maternal addiction program at another South Florida hospital, she served on several committees, including staffing, ethics, patient safety and infection control.

“Barbara’s clinical and leadership experience will lead our hospital toward continued success in improving patient care and safety,” said Mitch Feldman, CEO of West Boca Medical Center. “Her passion and dedication exemplify nursing excellence and compassionate care.”

Bzura earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northern Michigan University in Marquette. She continued her education at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, where she earned her master’s in nursing and graduated with honors.
