West Boca Medical Center CEO Earns 2016 Hero in Medicine Award

Apr 4, 2016

Boca Raton, Fla. (April 4, 2016) – Mitch Feldman, CEO of West Boca Medical Center, is a proud recipient of the Palm Beach Medical Society’s 2016 Heroes in Medicine Award. Feldman is specifically being honored as a “Bruce Rendina Professional Hero,” which is awarded to non-physician healthcare professionals who have significantly impacted the community.

“Mitch is extremely deserving of this recognition as he is one of the most respected, influential healthcare leaders in Palm Beach County,” said Marsha Powers, CEO of Tenet Healthcare’s Florida region. “We applaud him for his passion, dedication and significant contributions over the past 20 years to the betterment of our patients.”

Feldman will be recognized at the 13th annual Heroes in Medicine Awards luncheon on April 15 at the Kravis Center, Cohen Pavilion in West Palm Beach. At the event, one “Hero of the Year” will be announced for each of the nine Heroes in Medicine categories, along with four honorary awards. Proceeds will benefit Project Access, a program that provides donated medical services to those in need.

The Heroes in Medicine Awards honor individuals and organizations throughout Palm Beach County that use their skills and resources in the field of healthcare to provide outstanding service on a local, national and/or global level. In addition to acknowledging Palm Beach County’s Heroes in Medicine, this initiative serves to encourage and stimulate future heroes by promoting a commitment to community service.
