Tenet Florida Hospitals and Florida Blue Sign Multi-Year Coverage Agreement

Three-year contract ensures coverage stability for Florida Blue PPO, HMO and Medicare Advantage members

Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach Counties, Fla. (July 10, 2015) – Tenet Healthcare’s Florida Region signs a new three-year contract with Florida Blue guaranteeing members have in-network access to 10 acute care hospitals and 34 outpatient centers in South Florida.

“We look forward to continuing to provide high-quality medical care to our patients who have chosen Florida Blue for their insurance coverage, and to working with Florida Blue to further expand healthcare options for all of their members in South Florida,” said Marsha Powers, CEO of Tenet Healthcare’s Florida Region.

Coral Gables Hospital, Delray Medical Center, Florida Medical Center- a campus of North Shore, Good Samaritan Medical Center, Hialeah Hospital, North Shore Medical Center, Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, Palmetto General Hospital, St. Mary’s Medical Center and West Boca Medical Center, along with all Tenet-affiliated outpatient centers will continue as in-network providers for the following Florida Blue plans:

  • BlueCare® HMO (Health Options Inc.)
  • BlueChoice® (Preferred Patient Care)
  • BlueOptions SM (Network Blue)
  • Miami-Dade Blue
  • Advantage65
  • BlueMedicare SM HMO
  • BlueMedicare SM PPO
