In addition, we offer a 25-bed inpatient pediatric unit, which includes a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. West Boca also provides inpatient general medical and surgical care and has an active wound care and diabetes education program. West Boca Medical Center remains a leader in Robotic Surgery and was the first in Palm Beach County to acquire the Da Vinci S Surgical System. This technology puts a surgeon's hands at the control of a robotic platform. The surgeon is seated at a console a few feet away from the patient and views an actual image of the surgical site while operating in real-time, through tiny incisions, using electromechanically enhanced instruments. The advanced technology allows the surgeon to have greater precision, increased range of motion, improved dexterity, enhanced visualization and ability to perform minimally invasive surgery.

The patient often has a shorter hospital stay, reduced risk of infection, less blood loss and, in general, a quicker return to normal daily activities. Robotic surgery has advanced to allow our team of more than 10 surgeons to safely perform complex cases in gynecologic, urologic, pediatric, thoracic, general surgery and gynecological oncology areas.

West Boca Medical Center offers several specialties, including a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at our BirthCare Pavilion, the only level III NICU in North Broward County and Boca Raton. This means it can provide the most extensive services to premature babies.

HealthGrades also identified West Boca Medical Center as ranking in the top 5% in the nation for maternity care services for the fourth year in a row.
