Minimally Invasive Robotics Surgery at West Boca Medical Center

Robotics surgery offers a new minimally invasive approach to hysterectomy and other procedures such as fibroid removal, endometriosis surgery, endometrial/cervical cancer surgery, and vaginal/uterine prolapse.

In hysterectomy, traditional open gynecological surgery--using a large incision for access to the uterus and surrounding anatomy--has for years been the standard approach. Using the da Vinci Si Surgical System, surgeons at West Boca can perform hysterectomy through small incisions, using mechanically-enhanced micro instruments.

Surgeons using robotics can operate with greater precision and control, minimizing the pain and risk associated with large incisions while increasing the likelihood of a fast recovery and excellent clinical outcomes.
