Innovative Sleep Center Offers Patients High-Quality Care In Diagnosis, Treatment

Boca Raton, FL  – West Boca Medical Center (WBMC), a 195-bed acute care hospital in Boca Raton, celebrated the Grand Opening of its newly constructed Adult Sleep Diagnostic Center on Aug. 13.

"Our new center isn’t just a lab, it’s a comprehensive sleep program," said Mitch Feldman, CEO of West Boca Medical Center. "In order to make the proper diagnosis it takes a team of specialists, which we provide to our patients."

The Sleep Center unites a comprehensive team of doctors, neurologists, psychologists and other specially trained technicians. Patients of the Sleep Center participate in overnight sleep studies or polysomnograms, a continuous recording of selected body functions during sleep.

Common problems include sleep apnea, gastric reflux, insomnia, co-sleeping and sleepwalking. Many of these conditions are preventable and treatable.

The new Sleep Center offers private, comfortable, hotel-like rooms and special accommodations to make patients feel at ease.  The center is part of an 8,600 square-foot, four-story expansion, which houses the hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Rehabilitation Department and Pharmacy.
