BOCA RATON, FL – West Boca Medical Center (WBMC) congratulates its 2010 Doctors Day honorees.  WBMC CEO Mitch Feldman and the hospital staff recognized the following physicians for kindness, dedication and commitment to their patients. WMBC will make a $500 donation to their charity of choice.

Dr. Gelb, board-certified specialist in sports medicine and a specialist in knee, shoulder, elbow, wrist and ankle arthroscopic surgery, has been on the medical staff since 1995. Dr. Gelb was chosen because of the time he devotes to each patient to address questions and concerns, his willingness to teach other staff members and his overall support of the hospital.

Dr. Jeffers, board-certified and fellowship-trained, has been a medical staff member since 2008.  Active in the medical community, Dr. Jeffers is a clinical assistant professor at Nova Southeastern University. He has lectured around the U.S. and internationally and recently made two trips to Haiti to help with earthquake relief. While there, he provided medical care and constructed medical supplies by hand. He goes above and beyond his scope of practice to help patients and is a true asset to the hospital.

Dr. Moraes, a board-certified physician who has been a member of the medical staff since 2001, is Chairman, Department of Medicine. Dr. Moraes supports his colleagues and our hospital without hesitation and has demonstrated great compassion and teamwork in helping with the grievance committee.

Dr. Rosenkrantz, board-certified, has been on the medical staff since 1986 and was the first chief of staff. Dr. Rosenkrantz was nominated because he is an outstanding radiologist with an excellent bedside manner. He is patient, wonderful to work with and is truly dedicated to the profession.
