BOCA RATON, FL -- Pediatric patients and their families received a huge surprise when five National Football League (NFL) players visited West Boca Medical Center.

Current and former players Jamal Lewis of the Cleveland Browns, Brandon Flowers of the Kansas City Chiefs, Lional Dalton, Kalimba Edwards and former Miami Dolphin Mark Duper toured the pediatric floor and pediatric emergency room, posing for pictures and passing out signed footballs.

"We were delighted to have the players visit West Boca Medical Center," said CEO Mitch Feldman. "We truly appreciate their time, and our patients, their families and our staff were pleasantly surprised as well."

Hospital staff also posed for pictures with the players and received autographed photos and footballs. The Palm Beach County Sports Commission assisted in organizing the event, and Delray Beach City Commissioner Adam Frankel was in attendance.
